Since January 2024, I have taken on the role of Secretary within the Islam in Africa Studies Group (IASG). This organisation, a specialised coordinating body of the African Studies Association (ASA), is committed to promoting research and education on Muslim societies and cultures across Africa and in the Diaspora.
As in previous years, the IASG plans to sponsor thematic panels at the ASA Annual Meeting to be held in Chicago, 12-14 December 2024. We encourage you to submit proposals for panels and individual papers to Islaminafricastudiesgroup@gmail.com by 29 February.
